Sedation Dentistry for the Anxious Patient
We offer two forms of sedation to help relax our patients for their treatment. It is important that no food be taken four hours prior and no drink two hours prior to sedation of any kind.
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation is in the form of a medication (tablet form) that is given 1 hour prior to your dental treatment. The dentist will then monitor you and once the proper level of sedation is reached we will proceed with the dental freezing then treatment. This form of sedation is most beneficial for those longer or more involved in surgical procedures.
This form of sedation is only available when you have an escort to and from the office. This limits your activity for the rest of the day. No driving or operating of heavy machinery.
Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas)
We also offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas- breathable form). Laughing gas is an extremely safe option with zero side effects or drowsiness afterwards. It’s also great for kids!
